Experience
I enjoy seeing students learn the material deeply and find their own intuition for their work. In the end, as much as I love teaching, watching them become independent in their studies is just as great a reward. It moves students from a feeling of falling behind to one of "I can learn this," and that transition is, in the end, its own reward for both teacher and student. I have 5 years' experience tutoring and teaching algebra and calculus at high school and college levels, as well as higher level subjects like discrete math topics and game theory. I've also taught high school physics and can work with test prep (ACT and SAT). I was in the 99th percentile for both ACT and SAT scores, and I got 5s in AP Physics and AP Calculus BC. I also have all the classwork required for a bachelor's at MIT and will be graduating soon.

Hobbies
I enjoy video gaming and tabletop roleplaying games and am a hobbyist game designer. I write my own game systems for tabletops, and I enjoy taking apart video game mechanics for fun and trying to improve them. For the outdoors, I enjoy swimming, walking, and long hikes in cool weather and bright sun. I love to cook, especially spicy food, and I adore cats! (My cats also, strangely, seem to appreciate spicy food as well when they snatch it.)
